Threatened Trees in the Holston River Watershed

Now it is time for trees, part two! These trees are very dear to my heart, as I have been working for the American Chestnut Foundation for a year and a half now, and have had the opportunity to work alongside Terry on round leaf birch restoration three times. I haven't done any direct work with ash trees, but I have known about the emerald ash borer for many years and am now seeing direct impacts while exploring the watershed. Invasive species can be detrimental, and it is critical to do your part in reducing their spread.
